Welcome to CERC 2026 in Seoul
On behalf of the Care Ethics Research Consortium (CERC) and the Institute of Comparative Governance (ICG) at Korea University, it is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 4th International CERC Conference.
This year's conference is particularly significant as the first CERC conference to be held in Asia. Under the theme "Reconfiguring Relations: Political, Ecological, and Cultural," we invite scholars from around the world to share alternative ideas and initiatives that envision new relationships centered on care. We aim to explore how care ethics can call into question existing privileges and offer innovative perspectives on the political, ecological, and cultural challenges of our time.
To ensure global participation and inclusivity, the conference will be conducted in two formats:
In-person Panels: Held at Korea University in Seoul, featuring a hybrid format to allow for real-time online streaming and participation.
Online Panels: Held at alternative time slots to accommodate presenters and attendees from various time zones.
